About Fankie

Hi Fankie Friends!

My name is Mart-Mari. For me Fankie is more than just pretty earrings and fun hair accessories, it started in 2019 when I experimented with leather and beads and realized that being creative does wonders for the soul.  After teaching for more than 8 years and then working for a venue for another 4 years I fell in love with the idea of being able to create something that will show woman that they are loved, that they are worthy, that they are SO precious.  I had many sleepless nights as I dreamed about starting a business where I could use my talents to remind other woman how beautiful and special they are.  That’s when the name FANKIE was born, I knew the key to a happy heart was being truly thankful for everything we have, so I mixed “thankful” and the Afrikaans word “dankie” and came up with Fankie.

Since September 2019 the business has evolved and I’m still learning new things every day, but most of all I’m learning to be thankful for the little things in life, like the people I’ve met through this adventure and how God has provided in all our needs time and time again.

I’m hoping that through Fankie many more woman will be inspired to follow their dreams, trust the process and to live happy and joyful lives.
